My Evolution in Electronic Literacy

What do you think about electronic devices? Are they a luxury rather than a necessity?  Well, in my opinion, nowadays electronic and digital devices have become a necessity, whether you are a student or if you are actually working; in most schools and jobs your projects, homework,  etc, are required to be delivered by computer.
I started using electronic tools since elementary school, there was a class in which the teacher would take us to a computer lab and there they would  teach us basic things, there was no internet though, so I started using websites until I was in Junior High. But ever since I started using computers and other kinds of electronic devices it has facilitated all sorts of school activities, for example you can search the information you have been required to find for a class, or it is much easier to type your texts than wrintg them your self.
But although I have been given computer classes, I am not so good at it, I only know the basics of computers, for example I know how to use Word, Power Point, a little bit of Excel and a few websites but other than that, I am very bad with computers. Therefore, I am always requiring help from other people, which is the way I have been learning a few more things. And despite I am not really good with technology, I have been improving my abilities with it.
As I have been trying to improve my skills with digital devices for my personal growth, it has also become a necessity. Nowadays technology is not only used to search certain information or download music, now, it is the most important way of communication with other people. What I mean with this, is that it has become the way of belonging to a society, strongly connected through websites like Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, Myspace, etc.; and you cannot only keep in touch with people you already know but you can also get to meet new people. Besides from the fact that even teachers require you to deliver and upload your homework, projects, etc. by computer.
In conclusion, electronic literacy and its multiple devices have been part of my life ever since I can remember, but the interest and mostly the necessecity of these have increased with time. A lot of people used to believe that computers were a luxury, but now that idea has changed, we all have realized that it is a very important part of us as a society and also a huge step in our evolution as human beings.

Myself

Myself

Every person in the world is different and we all have to respect each other just as we are because we may judge people but we do not know what is behind them. Me, for example I just try to be the best that I can and I like people to respect that. These lines will talk about me, my likes, the things I do and also the bad aspects of me.

Sometimes being a girl turns into something difficult because when it comes to eating habits, pretty much all the tasty food contains a lot of fat or carbohydrates and let´s face it, we all care about that but mostly girls. Therefore, I try to keep myself active, I really like going to the gym because it allows me to be stronger, get a better shape, feel good (physically and emotionally) and what I like the most is that I get to know a lot of new people without mentioning the nice guys I can see there. But my passion is riding horses, it can be really stressful, dangerous and tiring but it is also a very rewarding sport, besides from the fact that it is an important part of Mexican culture.

But those are just the small things; the most important aspect for me is my family. I think I would not be the way I am without them, for example my dad has taught me to respect every single person I know and most importantly not to give up. On the other hand my mom has taught me to be patient, smart, loving, caring and most of all to protect my integrity. My friends are also a very important part of my life, it does not matter how down I´m feeling they always make me feel better. I always try to be everything my parents have taught me as well as what my friends expect from me.

There are bad things about me tough. I am very lazy, I love sleeping I can probably sleep in almost any place and I just do not seem to get enough sleep. I am too sincere, most of the time being sincere is a good thing but I guess I have taken it to the next level by saying exactly what I think about people without caring the way I say it, with time I have realized that it hurts people. But despite that, I believe I am a good person I try to help people as much as I can, I like honesty, I would never damage other people´s integrity, I am a good friend and daughter and I always try look at the brighter side of every situation.

In conclusion I think of myself as a girl that enjoys life. I try to follow every piece of advice and value, what my family and friends have taught me, therefore, life gets much easier because you avoid a lot of hard or painful situations. In addition doing the things I like makes it even better. Despite that I also make a lot of mistakes and I do have plenty of them, but once I realize I make those mistakes I just try to learn from them. Thus this is a little of who I am.
